Your manuscript should include the following elements in this order:

  1. Title and author information
  2. English abstract (150–250 words) and 5–7 keywords
  3. Main text
  4. Footnotes (please use footnotes, not endnotes)

Languages

  • Submissions are accepted in English, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and Vietnamese.
  • Non-English manuscripts must include an English title and abstract.
  • When quoting classical or primary texts, please retain the original script (e.g., Chinese characters, kana, hangul, chữ Nôm).
  • Romanization (e.g., pinyin, Hepburn) is optional and may be used where clarity requires.

Citations and Bibliography

  • Use the Chicago Manual of Style (Notes and Bibliography format).
  • All sources must be cited in both footnotes and the bibliography.
  • Entries may appear in either the original language or in English, but consistency must be maintained throughout.
