Article Processing Charge (APC)

Three Teachings Studies: Confucianism, Daoism, and Buddhism (TTS) is a peer-reviewed, open-access academic journal. To sustain editorial operations, peer review, and digital infrastructure, TTS charges a modest Article Processing Charge (APC) for accepted research articles.

APC Amount

The standard APC for accepted articles is:
$350 USD

This charge applies only after peer review and formal acceptance. It covers:

  • ✓ Full open-access publication (no paywalls)
  • ✓ DOI registration and indexing
  • ✓ Editorial coordination and professional layout
  • ✓ Server hosting and long-term archiving

Note: TTS does not charge submission fees.
Book reviews, forum essays, and other invited contributions are free of charge.

Waivers and Reductions

TTS supports inclusive publishing. We offer partial or full APC waivers in the following cases:

  • ▪ Authors without institutional or grant funding
  • ▪ Early-career researchers or graduate students
  • ▪ Authors from low- or middle-income countries (as per World Bank classification)

Waiver requests should be submitted after acceptance and must include a brief explanation. Decisions are made confidentially and on a case-by-case basis.
