Manuscript Preparation
To facilitate fair peer review and efficient editorial processing, IRELS requires authors to prepare manuscripts in accordance with the following formatting and structural guidelines.
2. Structure of the Manuscript
Manuscripts should normally include the following components, presented in this order:
- Title of the manuscript
- Abstract (150–250 words)
- Keywords (3–6)
- Main text
- References
- Tables and figures (if applicable)
- Appendices (if applicable)
3. Title Page and Anonymity
To support double-blind peer review, authors must ensure that the manuscript file contains no identifying information.
- Do not include: Author names, affiliations, acknowledgements, or funding info in the Word file.
- Submit separately: Such information should be entered in the OJS metadata fields during submission.
Detailed Component Guidelines
Abstract: Must clearly state the purpose, methods, and key findings (150-250 words).
Keywords: Reflect main themes to support discoverability.
Must be numbered consecutively with titles/captions. All visuals must be cited in the text. High resolution is required for figures.
Manuscripts should follow APA Style. Authors are responsible for accuracy; all in-text citations must appear in the reference list.
Academic English is required. Non-native speakers are encouraged to seek professional editing. Language quality is a factor in initial assessment.
Authors may submit supplementary materials (e.g., datasets, instruments) where relevant. These files should be clearly labeled and referenced in the main text.
