
Author Guidelines
The International Review of Education and Learning Sciences (IRELS) welcomes original scholarly submissions. Authors are expected to ensure that their manuscripts meet the journal’s academic standards, ethical requirements, and submission guidelines prior to submission.
Mandatory Similarity Report
To uphold academic integrity, authors are required to submit a Similarity Check Report (e.g., from Turnitin, iThenticate, or equivalent) alongside their manuscript file.
1. Scope & Manuscript Types
Manuscripts must fall within the aims and scope of the journal. Submissions should demonstrate originality, theoretical relevance, methodological rigor, and relevance to international academic discourse.
Empirical studies
Systematic reviews & Meta-analyses
Conceptual frameworks
Relevant to education research
2. Preparation & Formatting
- Format: Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx).
- Language: Clear and academic English.
- Length: Typically 6,000 – 8,000 words.
- Main Manuscript: Including Title, Abstract, Keywords, Main Text, References.
- Similarity Report (PDF): Showing < 20% similarity.
- Blind Review Copy: Remove ALL author names and affiliations.
- Referencing: Must follow APA Style.
- Visuals: Tables and figures must be clearly labeled.
3. Ethics & Integrity
Plagiarism Policy: Submissions with a similarity index exceeding 20% will be rejected immediately. We recommend aiming for below 15%.
Authors must ensure:- Proper acknowledgment of sources.
- Disclosure of any conflicts of interest.
- Ethical approval for studies involving human participants.
4. Copyright & Submission
Authors retain copyright. Articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).
All manuscripts must be submitted electronically through the journal’s online submission system. Please upload the Similarity Report as a "Supplementary File" during submission.
