Aims & Scope

 

The International Review of Education and Learning Sciences (IRELS) aims to advance scholarly understanding of education and learning through the publication of high-quality, peer-reviewed research. The journal provides an international forum for theoretical, empirical, and methodological studies that examine learning processes, educational practices, institutional structures, and education-related policies across diverse contexts.

The scope of IRELS encompasses a broad and interdisciplinary range of topics within education and the learning sciences. The journal welcomes research that contributes to conceptual development, empirical evidence, and methodological innovation, with relevance to international academic discourse.

Scope Areas

IRELS publishes research in, but not limited to, the following areas:

  • Learning sciences & psychology: including cognition, motivation, and assessment.
  • Pedagogy & Curriculum: curriculum studies, instructional design, teaching and learning practices.

Article Types

Exclusions

To maintain a strong research-oriented profile, IRELS does not consider:
