The Education Policy, Leadership & Governance section of IRELS publishes research that examines the formulation, implementation, and impact of education policies, leadership practices, and governance structures at local, national, and international levels.
This section focuses on analytically rigorous and empirically grounded studies that explore how policy decisions, leadership approaches, and governance mechanisms shape educational systems, institutional performance, and educational equity. Contributions are expected to engage with relevant policy frameworks, leadership theories, and research methodologies.

The section welcomes research on topics including, but not limited to:
