Publication Ethics Requirements
Global Review of Humanities, Arts and Society (GRHAS) requires all authors, editors, and reviewers to adhere to high standards of academic integrity, transparency, and responsible scholarly conduct throughout the research, submission, review, and publication processes. The journal follows internationally recognized principles of ethical publishing and maintains clear procedures to ensure that all published work meets accepted standards of research ethics.
Authors submitting manuscripts to GRHAS must ensure that their work complies with the ethical requirements outlined below.
Originality and Academic Integrity
Submitted manuscripts must present original research or scholarly analysis that has not been previously published and is not currently under consideration by another journal or publication. Authors must ensure that:
- all ideas, quotations, and data derived from other sources are properly cited
- the manuscript does not contain plagiarism, including self-plagiarism or unattributed reuse of previously published material
- the research results are reported honestly without fabrication, falsification, or inappropriate manipulation of data
The journal reserves the right to screen submissions for potential plagiarism or academic misconduct.
Authorship and Contribution Transparency
Authorship should be limited to individuals who have made substantial intellectual contributions to the research and preparation of the manuscript.
All authors listed on a manuscript must:
- have participated meaningfully in the research or writing process
- approve the final version of the manuscript before submission
- agree to be accountable for the accuracy and integrity of the work
Individuals who contributed to the research but do not meet the criteria for authorship should be acknowledged appropriately.
Changes to authorship after submission must be approved by the editorial office and supported by written consent from all authors.
Multiple Submission and Redundant Publication
Manuscripts submitted to GRHAS must not be simultaneously submitted to another journal. Duplicate or redundant publication of substantially similar research is not permitted.
If a manuscript is based on previously disseminated materials, such as conference presentations or working papers, authors should clearly disclose this information at the time of submission.
Data Integrity and Transparency
Authors must present research findings accurately and transparently. Any data, sources, or research materials used in the study should be clearly described in the manuscript. Where appropriate, authors are encouraged to make supporting data available in accordance with the journal’s Data Policy.
Misrepresentation, fabrication, or selective reporting of research data constitutes a serious violation of publication ethics.
Ethical Approval and Research with Human Participants
Research involving human participants, personal data, interviews, or culturally sensitive materials must comply with relevant institutional and ethical guidelines. Authors must confirm that:
- appropriate ethical approval has been obtained where required
- informed consent has been obtained from research participants
- privacy and confidentiality of participants are protected
Where ethical approval was required, authors should indicate the approving institution or ethics committee in the manuscript.
Conflict of Interest Disclosure
Authors must disclose any financial, institutional, or personal relationships that may influence the research, interpretation of results, or publication of the manuscript.
If no conflicts of interest exist, authors should explicitly state that no competing interests are declared.
Use of Third-Party Materials
If a manuscript includes images, figures, tables, or other materials that are copyrighted by third parties, authors must obtain the necessary permission from the copyright holder before submission.
All third-party materials must be properly credited, and documentation of permission may be requested by the editorial office.
Compliance with Journal Policies
By submitting a manuscript to GRHAS, authors confirm that:
- the work complies with the journal’s Publication Ethics, Data Policy, and AI & Research Integrity Policy
- all authors agree with the submission and publication of the manuscript
- the research has been conducted in accordance with relevant ethical standards
Failure to comply with these requirements may result in manuscript rejection, editorial investigation, or other corrective actions if ethical concerns are identified.
