Complaints & Appeals Policy
Global Review of Humanities, Arts and Society (GRHAS) is committed to maintaining a fair, transparent, and accountable editorial process. The journal provides a formal mechanism for authors, reviewers, and readers to raise complaints or appeal editorial decisions when they believe that an error, misunderstanding, or procedural concern has occurred during the submission, review, or publication process.
All complaints and appeals are handled seriously and evaluated in accordance with the journal’s editorial policies and ethical standards.
Appeals of Editorial Decisions
Authors may appeal an editorial decision if they believe that the evaluation of their manuscript involved a significant misunderstanding, factual error, or procedural irregularity. Appeals must include:
- the title and identification details of the manuscript
- a clear explanation of the reason for the appeal
- a detailed response addressing the points raised in reviewers' reports
- supporting evidence or clarification where appropriate
* Appeals should be based on substantive academic or procedural concerns rather than disagreement with reviewer opinions alone.
Complaints Regarding Editorial or Review Processes
Individuals may submit complaints regarding issues related to the editorial or peer review process, including:
- concerns about the fairness or transparency of the review process
- alleged conflicts of interest among editors or reviewers
- inappropriate reviewer conduct
- delays or irregularities in the editorial process
Complaints Concerning Publication Ethics
The journal also accepts complaints related to ethical issues in published articles, such as:
- allegations of plagiarism or duplicate publication
- authorship disputes or undisclosed conflicts of interest
- concerns about data integrity or research ethics
Investigation and Resolution
Upon receiving a complaint or appeal, the editorial office will acknowledge receipt and initiate an evaluation. The process may include reviewing editorial records, consulting with the editorial board, or requesting information from involved parties.
The journal aims to resolve all issues in a fair and timely manner. Decisions made following the review of an appeal will be considered final.
Commitment to Editorial Accountability
GRHAS is committed to maintaining transparent editorial procedures. We encourage constructive communication and aim to resolve complaints and appeals in a professional and responsible manner to ensure the integrity of the scholarly record.
