Corrections Policy
Global Review of Humanities, Arts and Society (GRHAS) is committed to maintaining the accuracy, transparency, and integrity of the scholarly record. When errors or inaccuracies are identified in published articles, the journal will issue appropriate corrections to ensure that the published literature remains reliable and trustworthy.
Corrections are used to address errors that do not invalidate the overall findings or conclusions of the article but may affect the clarity, accuracy, or completeness of the published work.
Types of Corrections
The journal may issue different forms of corrections depending on the nature of the error:
Erratum
An erratum is issued to correct errors introduced during the editorial or production process, such as formatting mistakes, typographical errors, or incorrect information introduced during typesetting or layout preparation.
Corrigendum
A corrigendum is issued when authors identify errors in their own published work that require correction. These may include inaccuracies in data presentation, author affiliations, acknowledgements, or other aspects of the article that require clarification but do not invalidate the main findings.
* Both errata and corrigenda are published to ensure transparency and to maintain the accuracy of the scholarly record.
Procedure for Issuing Corrections
When a potential error in a published article is reported or identified, the editorial office will evaluate the issue and determine the appropriate course of action. The correction process may include:
- reviewing the nature and impact of the reported error
- consulting with the authors and editorial team
- assessing whether the issue affects the interpretation of the research
If a correction is warranted, the journal will publish a formal correction notice.
Publication of Correction Notices
Correction notices will:
- clearly identify the original article being corrected
- describe the nature of the correction
- provide the corrected information where applicable
- be linked to the original article in the journal’s online platform
Correction notices will remain permanently accessible as part of the scholarly record.
Distinction & Author Responsibilities
Distinction: Corrections are issued when errors do not invalidate the main results or conclusions of the article. If serious issues are identified that significantly undermine the reliability or ethical integrity of the research, the journal may consider retraction in accordance with its Retraction Policy.
Author Responsibilities: Authors are responsible for carefully reviewing their manuscripts prior to publication. If authors discover errors in their published work, they should promptly notify the editorial office and cooperate in the correction process.
Commitment to Scholarly Accuracy
GRHAS is committed to maintaining an accurate and trustworthy scholarly record. The journal encourages transparency in correcting errors and will implement appropriate editorial actions when necessary to ensure the reliability of published research.
