Screening Process & Responsibilities
1. Author Self-Check
Authors are required to perform a similarity check on their manuscripts prior to submission. It is the author's responsibility to ensure the work meets the journal's standards.
Required: Pre-submission Check
2. Editorial Spot Checks
The Editorial Office conducts random spot checks and verification using Crossref Similarity Check (iThenticate) during the screening process.
Action: Random Verification
Acceptable Similarity Threshold
< 15% – 20%
Manuscripts exceeding this limit upon inspection will be returned or rejected. What Constitutes Plagiarism?
Verbatim Copying Reproducing text without quotation marks and citation.
Improper Paraphrasing Changing words but keeping structure without attribution.
Self-Plagiarism Reusing significant portions of own work (Text Recycling).
Unattributed Ideas Using concepts or findings from others without credit.
Actions Taken in Case of Violation
Before Publication
- Immediate rejection of the manuscript.
- Author explanation required.
After Publication
- Formal Retraction of the article.
- Notification of author's institution.
