Peer Review Process
Publication Workflow
Resonance maintains a rigorous and transparent editorial workflow. The typical duration from initial submission to online publication is usually within 20 weeks, but may vary for complex cases, additional review rounds, or reviewer availability.
Peer Review Policy (Double-Blind)
All research submissions are evaluated through a double-blind peer review process by at least two independent reviewers selected for subject expertise. Reviewers and editors must declare conflicts of interest; individuals with conflicts will not participate in the assessment. When necessary (e.g., divergent reports or specialized expertise), the Editors may invite an additional reviewer.
Ethics, Appeals & Editorial Independence
Manuscripts undergo plagiarism screening and ethical checks before peer review. The journal follows recognized publication-ethics practices, including corrections and retractions when warranted. Authors may submit appeals or complaints regarding editorial decisions by contacting the Editorial Office. Submissions from Editors or Editorial Board members are handled by an independent editor with no conflict of interest, and the involved individual has no access to the review or decision process.
Editorial Screening
Initial check for scope alignment, plagiarism screening, and formatting compliance. Typically completed within 2–3 weeks.
Double-Blind Peer Review
Evaluation by at least two independent experts under a double-blind review model. The review period generally ranges from 6 to 12 weeks and may vary depending on reviewer availability.
Editorial Decision
Decisions are based on reviewers’ reports and editorial assessment. Authors receive anonymized reviewer comments with the decision letter.
Revision & Resubmission
Authors revise manuscripts in response to reviewer comments. The revision period typically ranges from 2 to 4 weeks, depending on revision scope.
Copyediting & Typesetting
Accepted manuscripts undergo professional copyediting, typesetting, and author proof review. This stage is typically completed within 2–3 weeks.
Online First Publication
Articles are published online individually on an Online First basis with a permanent DOI, once production is completed.
Formal Issue Publication
Online First articles are subsequently assigned to the next scheduled semi-annual issue.
Workflow Metrics
All timeframes above represent typical editorial estimates. Actual processing times may vary depending on the number of review rounds, the extent of revisions required, and reviewer availability.
