About the Journal

Resonance: Journal of Global Music Studies is a peer-reviewed international journal dedicated to advancing the study of music across cultures, historical periods, and practices. The journal seeks to foster interdisciplinary dialogue and global scholarly exchange in the fields of musicology, ethnomusicology, and related disciplines.

Contributions Welcome We engage critically with diverse musical traditions, sonic practices, performance cultures, media, archives, and theoretical approaches. The journal publishes research articles, book and media reviews, interviews, translations, and creative formats that expand conventional understandings of music and sound in society, including their intersections with cultural policy, institutional governance, and public administration.
