New Section Launch: Resonant Verses: Poetry and Music

Resonance: Journal of Global Music Studies is delighted to introduce a new section: Resonant Verses: Poetry and Music.

This section provides a platform for creative and scholarly engagement with poetry in relation to music. Submissions may include original poems and lyrics inspired by musical traditions, sound poetry, chanting, spoken word, and cross-cultural poetic forms, as well as translations of historically significant poetic texts with musical relevance.

All submissions should include an English title and abstract. Non-English works must be accompanied by an English translation. Authors are encouraged to provide a short preface or commentary situating their work in relation to music and sound studies.

By welcoming poetic works, this section expands the boundaries of global music scholarship, creating new resonances between literature and music, theory and practice.
