Publication Schedule & Submission Timeline

Resonance: Journal of Global Music Studies follows a semi-annual publication schedule, with two regular issues released each year:

  • June Issue

  • December Issue

Submissions are accepted on a rolling basis throughout the year. However, to ensure full consideration for a specific issue, authors are encouraged to submit by the following recommended dates:

  • For June Issue: Submit by February 15

  • For December Issue: Submit by August 15

These dates are not hard deadlines but serve as guidance for optimal editorial processing.

Typical manuscript processing timeline:

  • Initial editorial screening: 2–3 weeks

  • Peer review: 6–8 weeks

  • Final decision: 8–12 weeks from initial submission

We welcome submissions in English, Chinese, German, Italian, and Russian, with all manuscripts required to include an English title and abstract.
