Step-by-Step Review Process

1. Submission and Technical Check: Verification of anonymization, required declarations (Ethics, AI, Data), and formatting.
2. Initial Editorial Assessment (3–5 Days): Evaluation of scope relevance, academic quality, and plagiarism screening. Desk rejections occur here if unsuitable.
3. Reviewer Selection (Within 7 Days): Invitation of at least two independent experts based on expertise and diversity.
4. Double-Blind Peer Review (14–21 Days): Assessment of originality, methodological rigor, and systemic relevance.
5. Editorial Decision: Possible outcomes: Accept, Minor Revision, Major Revision, or Reject. Final decision rests with the Editor-in-Chief.
6. Revision Stage: Authors address reviewer feedback with a point-by-point response document.
7. Final Decision: Typically reached within 45 days from the initial submission.
8. Production and Online Publication: Professional copyediting, DOI assignment, and immediate Online-First publication.

Special Issue Review

Submissions follow identical peer review standards. Guest Editors operate under the strict supervision of the Editor-in-Chief.

Appeals

Authors may submit written appeals based on academic justification. Each appeal is evaluated independently and impartially by the Editorial Board.
