Climate Sustainability & Global Systems (CSGS) operates a rigorous, transparent, and timely peer review process designed to ensure academic quality, integrity, and efficiency.

The journal is published quarterly (March, June, September, and December) and follows a double-blind peer review system to ensure complete anonymity for both authors and reviewers.

B Step-by-Step Review Process

1. Initial Editorial Assessment (3–5 Days)

Scope verification, plagiarism screening via detection software, and ethical compliance checks. Manuscripts not meeting basic requirements may be desk rejected.

2. Editor Assignment (Within 3 Days)

Submissions are assigned to an Associate Editor based on specific subject expertise.

3. Reviewer Selection (Within 7 Days)

At least two independent reviewers are selected based on academic record, expertise, and institutional diversity.

4. Peer Review (14–21 Days)

Experts evaluate originality, methodological rigor, and relevance to global sustainability systems.

5. Editorial Decision

Possible outcomes: Accept, Minor Revision, Major Revision, or Reject. The Editor-in-Chief holds final authority.

6. Revision Stage

Authors provide a point-by-point response. Substantial revisions may undergo a second round of review.

7. Production and Publication

Accepted papers undergo professional copyediting, DOI assignment, and Online-First publication.

Special Issue Review

Same rigorous standards apply. Guest Editors manage the workflow under EIC supervision to ensure consistency.

Ethical Safeguards

Plagiarism screening, mandatory conflict of interest disclosure, and adherence to COPE guidelines.
