Health Nexus provides a structured and transparent submission workflow to ensure efficient handling of manuscripts and adherence to international publishing standards.
1. Online Submission
All manuscripts must be submitted through the journal’s official online submission system:
Submissions sent via email will not be considered unless explicitly requested by the Editorial Office.
2. Pre-Submission Requirements
Before submission, authors must ensure that:
- The manuscript fits the journal’s Aims & Scope
- The appropriate article type has been selected
- The manuscript is formatted according to the Author Guidelines
- All required sections are included:
- Title page
- Abstract and keywords
- Main text
- References
- Figures and tables
- Funding, conflict of interest, and data availability statements
- Ethical requirements are fulfilled:
- Ethical approval (if applicable)
- Informed consent
- Clinical trial registration (if applicable)
3. Submission Materials
Authors are required to upload the following:
3.1 Main Manuscript File
- Anonymized version (no author-identifying information)
- Includes abstract, main text, references, and figure/table captions
3.2 Title Page
- Full title of the manuscript
- Author names and affiliations
- Corresponding author contact details
3.3 Cover Letter
The cover letter should include:
- A brief description of the study’s significance and novelty
- Confirmation that the manuscript is original and not under consideration elsewhere
- Disclosure of any conflicts of interest
3.4 Supplementary Files (if applicable)
- Figures and tables (separate files)
- Additional datasets or materials
4. Initial Editorial Check
After submission, manuscripts undergo an initial screening to assess:
- Scope alignment
- Compliance with formatting requirements
- Ethical declarations
- Basic methodological soundness
Manuscripts that do not meet these criteria may be returned to authors or rejected without external review.
5. Peer Review Process
Manuscripts that pass initial screening are sent for double-blind peer review, involving:
- At least two independent reviewers
- Evaluation of scientific quality, originality, and relevance

6. Editorial Decision
Based on reviewer reports, the editorial decision will be one of the following:
- Accept
- Minor Revision
- Major Revision
- Reject
Authors will receive detailed feedback to guide revisions where applicable.
7. Revision and Resubmission
Authors submitting revised manuscripts must:
- Provide a point-by-point response to reviewer comments
- Clearly indicate changes in the manuscript
- Resubmit within the specified timeframe
Failure to respond adequately may result in rejection.
8. Acceptance and Production
Upon acceptance, manuscripts proceed to:
- Copyediting and formatting
- Proofreading by authors
- Final publication online
9. Ethical Compliance Check
Before publication, all accepted manuscripts are subject to final checks for:
- Ethical approval documentation
- Conflict of interest disclosure
- Data transparency statements
10. Article Processing Charges (APC)
- Health Nexus is an open-access journal.
- Article Processing Charges (APC) will apply to manuscripts accepted from 2027 onward.
- Authors should consult the journal website for current fee details.
11. Communication
All correspondence regarding submissions will be conducted via:
- The online submission system
- Registered email address of the corresponding author
