Open Access Policy

Health Nexus is a fully open-access, peer-reviewed journal committed to the free and unrestricted dissemination of scientific knowledge. All articles published in the journal are made immediately and permanently accessible online without subscription or access fees.


1. Open Access Statement

All content published in Health Nexus is freely available to readers worldwide upon publication. Users are permitted to:

  • Read, download, copy, distribute, print, and search the full text of articles.
  • Link to published content without restriction.

This policy ensures the broad dissemination of research across disciplines and geographic regions, supporting global knowledge exchange and equitable access to healthcare research.

2. Licensing Policy

Unless otherwise specified, articles are published under a Creative Commons license (recommended: CC BY 4.0).

Under this license, users may:

  • Share and adapt the material for any purpose, including commercial use.
  • Provide appropriate attribution to the original authors and source.

Authors retain copyright of their work while granting the journal the right to publish and distribute the article.

3. Author Rights

Authors publishing in Health Nexus:

  • Retain full copyright ownership of their work.
  • Grant the publisher (Panorama Scholarly Group, PSG) a license to publish and disseminate the article.
  • May deposit the published version in institutional or subject repositories without restriction.

4. Article Processing Charges (APC)

Health Nexus operates under an open-access model.

  • Article Processing Charges (APC) will apply to manuscripts accepted from 2027 onward.
  • The APC covers editorial processing, peer review management, production, and online hosting.
  • Authors should consult the official Author Guidelines for current fee details.

5. Archiving and Long-Term Preservation

To ensure long-term accessibility, Health Nexus supports:

  • Digital archiving systems (e.g., LOCKSS, CLOCKSS, or Portico) (to be specified upon implementation).
  • Permanent article identifiers (e.g., DOI registration via CrossRef).

6. Repository and Self-Archiving Policy

Authors are encouraged to deposit their work in:

  • Institutional repositories
  • Subject-specific repositories
  • Personal or academic websites

The final published version (Version of Record) may be shared without embargo.

7. Compliance with Open Access Standards

This policy aligns with:

  • Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) criteria
  • Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI) principles
  • COPE best practices in ethical publishing
