Comparative Philosophy and Religious Traditions (CPRT) is a fully open access journal. To support editorial operations, peer review management, production, and long-term digital preservation, the journal charges an Article Processing Charge (APC).
The journal is committed to transparency, fairness, and global accessibility in its publication fee policy.
1. Article Processing Charge (APC)
The APC for accepted manuscripts is:
This fee is charged only after a manuscript has successfully completed peer review and has received formal acceptance.
There are:
- No submission fees
- No review fees
- No charges for rejected manuscripts
The APC covers:
- Editorial assessment and management
- Double-blind peer review coordination
- Professional copyediting and typesetting
- DOI registration via Crossref
- Online hosting and platform maintenance
- Long-term digital archiving and preservation
The APC does not influence editorial decisions.
2. Payment Policy
Authors will receive an invoice only after final acceptance.
Payment must be completed prior to publication. Articles will not be published until APC payment is confirmed.
Invoices are issued by the publisher in accordance with institutional billing standards.
3. Waiver and Discount Policy
CPRT is committed to promoting equitable global participation in scholarship, particularly in the humanities and intercultural philosophical research.
Waivers or partial discounts may be granted to:
- Authors from low-income countries
- Authors from lower-middle-income countries
- Early-career researchers without institutional funding
- Authors demonstrating documented financial hardship
A limited number of full or partial APC waivers are available each year.
Waivers are granted at the discretion of the journal based on demonstrated financial need and available resources.
Waiver requests should be submitted at the time of manuscript submission or prior to final acceptance notification.
All waiver applications are reviewed confidentially and independently.
4. Independence of Editorial Decisions
The peer review and editorial decision-making process is conducted independently of any financial considerations.
The ability to pay, or the request for a waiver, does not influence:
- Reviewer selection
- Editorial assessment
- Acceptance decisions
All manuscripts are evaluated solely on scholarly merit, originality, clarity, and relevance to the journal’s scope.

The APC amount is clearly displayed on the journal website. Any future changes to the fee structure will be publicly announced in advance.
There are no hidden fees or additional publication charges.
