Journal Overview and Key Policies
AI and Future Society is a semiannual peer-reviewed academic journal committed to advancing interdisciplinary research on the societal impacts of artificial intelligence.
1 Publication Frequency
The journal publishes two issues per year:
- Issue 1 May
- Issue 2 November
- Submissions are accepted on a rolling basis and scheduled for the next available issue upon acceptance.
2 Open Access Policy
AI and Future Society is an open-access journal. All articles are freely available without subscription or paywall. Authors retain copyright under the Creative Commons Attribution CC BY 4.0 license allowing broad reuse with proper attribution.
3 Peer Review Process
All research articles undergo double-blind peer review by at least two independent reviewers. Editorials and commentaries are subject to editorial review. The process upholds academic rigor fairness and transparency.
4 Editorial Screening
Each submission is screened by both an AI-assisted system and a human editor for scope alignment originality ethics compliance and clarity. Submissions not meeting baseline criteria may be declined without external review.
5 Publication Ethics
The journal follows COPE guidelines.
- Authors must disclose conflicts of interest and provide ethical approval for studies involving human subjects sensitive AI applications or proprietary data.
- Plagiarism data manipulation and redundant publication are prohibited.
6 Author Responsibilities
Authors are responsible for data accuracy proper citation and methodological transparency. Use of AI-generated content must be clearly disclosed and responsibly integrated. Submissions involving LLMs or generative models should assess societal risks.
7 Archiving and Indexing
All published content is digitally archived and indexed in major scholarly databases to ensure long-term accessibility and scholarly impact.
