Open Access Policy

AI & Future Society is a fully open-access scholarly journal committed to the unrestricted dissemination of research on the societal implications of artificial intelligence. All articles published in the journal are freely available online immediately upon publication without subscription or access barriers.

Readers are permitted to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of articles without requesting prior permission from the publisher or the authors, provided that proper attribution is given. This policy aligns with the principles of the Budapest Open Access Initiative which promotes free and open access to academic knowledge worldwide.

Licensing

All articles published in AI & Future Society are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY 4.0) . This license permits unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided that the original author(s) and source are properly credited.

Under the CC BY 4.0 license users may:

  • Share — copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format
  • Adapt — remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, including commercial use

Author Copyright

Authors retain full copyright of their work. By publishing in AI & Future Society, authors grant the journal a non-exclusive license to publish, archive, and distribute the article and to identify itself as the original publisher.

Authors are free to:

  • Share the article on personal or academic websites

Archiving Policy

To ensure long-term accessibility and preservation of published research, AI & Future Society supports archiving through institutional repositories, academic databases, and author self-archiving. Authors are encouraged to deposit the final published version of their article in repositories immediately after publication with proper citation to the journal.
