Call for Papers: Vol. 2, No. 2 — AGI and Its Societal Impact
AI & Future Society is pleased to announce the call for papers for Volume 2, Issue 2 (Vol. 2, No. 2).
This is a regular issue, not a special issue. For this issue, the journal will place particular editorial emphasis on the theme of the societal impact of AGI.
As discussions around Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) continue to expand, its significance is no longer limited to technical development alone. AGI has increasingly become a subject of broader concern for ethics, governance, labor, education, human-machine relations, public institutions, and the future of society. We welcome high-quality submissions that examine how the emergence of AGI may reshape social structures, value systems, regulatory frameworks, and everyday life.
Relevant topics include, but are not limited to:
- ethical risks, responsibility, alignment, fairness, and transparency in AGI;
- governance models, regulatory responses, and institutional preparedness for AGI;
- the impact of AGI on employment, labor transformation, education, and social inequality;
- human-AI interaction, trust, dependency, and social adaptation in the context of AGI;
- critical, philosophical, and interdisciplinary reflections on AGI and future society.
Submissions are welcome in the journal’s relevant sections, including AI & Ethics (AIE), AI Governance & Regulation (GOV), Human-AI Interaction (HAI), Technology & Future Society (TFS), Critical AI Studies (CAS), AI in Medicine & Health (AIMH), and Perspectives & Commentary (COM).
All submissions should align with the aims and scope of the journal and demonstrate clear academic relevance, methodological rigor, and awareness of the broader societal implications of AI. Manuscripts outside the AGI focus may also be considered, provided they fit the journal’s scope.
As with previous issues, no article processing charges or publication fees will be collected for this issue. The journal remains committed to supporting accessible academic publishing and encouraging high-quality scholarship from the global research community.
Volume 2, Issue 2 is planned for publication in early to mid-November.
Authors are invited to submit their manuscripts through the journal’s submission system.
