Journal of Social Cognition and Communication follows an open access publishing model that ensures the broad dissemination and accessibility of scholarly research. The journal respects the intellectual property rights of authors while enabling the free circulation and reuse of academic knowledge in accordance with internationally recognized open access standards.

Authors retain the copyright of their work while granting the journal the right to publish and distribute the article as the original publisher.

1. Author Copyright

Authors publishing in the journal retain full copyright of their articles. By submitting and publishing with the journal, authors grant the journal a non-exclusive license to publish the work and to identify itself as the original publisher of the article.

Authors may share, distribute, and archive their published work through personal websites, institutional repositories, academic networks, or other scholarly communication platforms, provided that appropriate citation of the original publication in the journal is included.

2. Licensing Terms

All articles published in the journal are distributed under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0). 3. Rights Granted to the Journal

While authors retain copyright, they grant the journal the right to publish the article, to identify itself as the original publisher, and to distribute the work through its publishing platform and associated indexing or archiving systems.

This publishing license enables the journal to make the article publicly accessible, assign identifiers where applicable, and ensure long-term accessibility of the scholarly record.

4. Third-Party Material

If an article includes images, tables, figures, or other materials from third-party sources, authors are responsible for obtaining the necessary permissions and ensuring that such materials may be legally reproduced under the terms of publication.

Where third-party materials are not covered by the article’s Creative Commons license, appropriate credit lines and permission statements should be provided.

5. Author Self-Archiving

Authors are encouraged to deposit the final published version of their articles in institutional repositories, subject repositories, or other academic archiving platforms immediately after publication.

When depositing or sharing the article, authors should include a citation to the original publication in the journal and provide a link to the journal website where possible.
