Call for Papers|Journal of Law, Psychology, and Communication Studies Vol. 2 No. 2 (2026)

The widespread occurrence of “doxxing” — the act of publicly exposing personal information — on social media platforms has led to increasing concerns over adolescent mental health, privacy violations, and the blurred boundaries of digital legality. As vulnerable participants in digital spaces, adolescents require nuanced, interdisciplinary protection through law, psychology, and media governance.

This special issue (Vol. 2 No. 2) invites original research contributions that address the theme:
“Doxxing and Digital Violence Against Adolescents: Legal Responses, Psychological Mechanisms, and Media Responsibility”

Suggested topics include (but are not limited to):

  • Why are adolescents often targeted in doxxing? Psychological mechanisms and social cognition

  • Legal definitions and accountability of doxxing in civil and criminal contexts

  • The ethical responsibilities of platforms in protecting minors’ privacy

  • Psychological impact of online exposure: trauma, shame, and social withdrawal

  • Spread mechanisms and emotional contagion in doxxing communication

  • Cross-cultural analysis of doxxing regulations and digital rights

  • Legal education and adolescent self-protection in online environments

  • Case studies of interventions: legal, psychological, and communicative perspectives
