Editorial Policies
1. Academic Integrity
JLPCS adheres to the highest standards of academic integrity. Plagiarism, data fabrication, and unethical research practices are strictly prohibited. All submissions must be original and must not be under review elsewhere.
2. Peer Review
All submissions undergo a double-blind peer review process. Each manuscript is evaluated by at least two independent experts based on its scholarly merit, originality, methodology, and writing quality.
3. Editorial Independence
Editorial decisions are made independently based on the academic quality and relevance of the submission to the journal’s aims and scope. Editors operate free from external influence, including from sponsors or funders.
4. Authors’ Rights and Licensing
Authors retain full copyright of their work while granting JLPCS the right of first publication. All articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), which permits unrestricted use, distribution, reproduction, and adaptation in any medium, including commercial use, provided that proper credit is given to the original author(s) and source.
Authors are also permitted to self-archive the final published version of their articles in institutional repositories, personal websites, and other platforms, with appropriate attribution and citation.
5. Conflict of Interest
Editors, reviewers, and authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest. The editorial team will take appropriate actions to ensure fairness and impartiality throughout the review and publication process.
6. Confidentiality
The editorial office strictly protects the confidentiality of all submitted manuscripts, author identities, and reviewer identities throughout the peer review and publication process.
7. Retractions and Corrections
In cases of significant error, plagiarism, or academic misconduct identified after publication, JLPCS reserves the right to retract articles, issue corrections, or publish statements of concern, in accordance with international publishing ethics guidelines.
8. Publishing Ethics Compliance
JLPCS adheres to the ethical standards set by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE).
