All manuscripts submitted to the journal are expected to represent original work and must properly acknowledge the contributions of other researchers through appropriate citation and referencing.

所有提交至本刊的稿件均应为原创作品,并必须通过适当的引用与参考文献,妥善致谢其他研究者的贡献。

Definition of Plagiarism 剽窃的定义

Plagiarism occurs when an author presents the ideas, words, data, or other intellectual content of another individual as their own without proper acknowledgment.

当作者未经适当致谢,将他人的思想、文字、数据或其他智识内容作为自己的成果呈现时,即构成剽窃。

Forms of plagiarism may include:

  • direct copying of text without quotation or citation
    未加引号或引用的直接文本复制
  • paraphrasing substantial portions of another work without proper attribution
    未经适当署名,对他人作品的大量段落进行改写
  • use of data, figures, or research findings without appropriate acknowledgment

  • presenting previously published material as original work
    将已发表的材料作为原创作品呈现
  • self-plagiarism, including the reuse of significant parts of one's own previously published work without proper citation

Screening for Plagiarism 剽窃筛查

All manuscripts submitted to Silence may be screened for plagiarism using plagiarism detection tools and editorial assessment.

所有提交至《Silence》的稿件,均可能通过剽窃检测工具与编辑评估进行剽窃筛查。

The editorial team may evaluate manuscripts to identify:

  • similarity with previously published articles

Manuscripts that show significant overlap with existing publications may be rejected during the editorial screening stage.

Handling Suspected Plagiarism 处理涉嫌剽窃行为

If plagiarism or excessive textual overlap is detected, the editorial office will investigate the case in accordance with the journal’s publication ethics policy. Possible actions may include:

Self-Plagiarism and Redundant Publication 自我剽窃与重复发表

Authors should avoid submitting manuscripts that substantially overlap with their own previously published work unless proper citation and justification are provided.

作者应避免提交与自身已发表作品存在大量重叠的稿件,除非提供了规范的引用与合理的解释。

If a manuscript builds upon earlier work by the same authors, the prior publications must be clearly cited, and the new contribution should represent a meaningful extension of existing research.
