From the Editors
EDITORIAL STATEMENT
Welcome to the Journal of Engineering Systems and Applications (JESA) — a journal established with a singular academic commitment: to return scholarly publishing to its original purpose — advancing understanding, addressing real problems, and enabling meaningful technological innovation.
In recent years, academic discourse has too often been shaped by metrics-driven publication models, siloed research outputs, and a race for visibility over substance. At JESA, we believe in reversing that trend. We are committed to publishing work that matters — not because it follows fashion, but because it asks important questions, proposes thoughtful solutions, and reflects a genuine engagement with the complexity of engineering and scientific systems.
JESA embraces a broad interdisciplinary scope, welcoming contributions from science, engineering, chemistry, and life sciences. Our editorial vision is rooted in clarity, integrity, and depth. Through our rigorous double-blind peer review process, we ensure that every published article meets the highest standards of scholarship, while remaining accessible through our open access model (CC BY-NC 4.0).
What We Seek
Bridge disciplinary divides with systems-level thinking
Propose novel methodologies or frameworks with practical relevance
Critically examine current engineering challenges and offer data-driven insights
Reflect a strong connection between theory and real-world application
"As editors, we are not merely gatekeepers but stewards of scholarly dialogue. We aim to curate a space where academic inquiry is thoughtful, bold, and rooted in problem-solving — not performance."
We thank our authors, reviewers, and readers for contributing to this mission. We invite you to explore, engage, and contribute to a journal that seeks not just to publish research, but to renew its purpose.
