  This issue (Volume 2, 2026) of Rural Governance and Green Development focuses on the modernization of territorial villages, integrated rural-urban governance, sustainable income and livelihoods, digital village transformation, and ecological transitions. We welcome high-quality research articles, theoretical reviews, and policy case studies related to rural revitalization and green development under the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

  This inaugural volume of Rural Governance and Green Development presents a curated selection of interdisciplinary contributions that explore pathways toward rural governance modernization and green transformation in China and beyond. The issue emphasizes empirical inquiry and theoretical innovation across a range of topics, including institutional reform, ecological governance, rural digitalization, green technologies, and resilience at the grassroots level.
